Creating My FutureI have decided that I can see myself pursuing a lifelong career in a research lab whether doing computational, mathematical, or biological research. To do this I am both ready and excited to look into graduate PhD programs to apply to. Bacteria and viruses have deeply captured my interest here in the labs of Loyola, and I wish to work with these organisms further. I hope to join a program in biology, computational biology, epidemiology, or immunology after I graduate from Loyola. While plans after such a program remain wide open, I could absolutely see myself working or running a lab at a university or even doing research in a hospital or with the CDC. One privilege studying both bioinformatics and mathematics has provided me is allowing my future plans and interests to stay very flexible and exciting.
